We’ve been enjoying the California sun this last week – home at midnight last night. Today is re-entry. Re-entry can be brutal. We woke up at 8, and had to have everyone out the door at 8:30. Whew- we made it, and with no tears, at least no tears from the kids so I consider that an accomplishment.
I just spent the last hour making phone calls, figuring out our schedule for the week, setting up appointments etc. Now I’m procrastinating unpacking and getting dressed by going through our September pictures. Sometimes procrastination is OK. These pictures remind me of what a beautiful life I’m blessed with.
Justin and I got a rare, out of focus, and weirdly lighted picture of us together, so I had to document it – Thanks Anna. Max spends a lot of time building in our entryway. I love that his hands are still a little bit chubby. Chica discovered that I could go eat lunch with her, FOR FREE – said with the utmost excitement. So Max and I have joined her a couple of times. Josh usually waves at us nonchalantly from across the room. Then we walk out and watch her at recess. She has practiced doing back walk overs for every recess for 6 weeks, and she can finally kick over. She couldn’t be happier, and I couldn’t be prouder that she was persistent that long. Never never never give up. Anna is definitely better at our family motto than I am. Max and I made some ginormous bubbles one morning. For the recipe search “Our best bites ginormous bubbles” They were awesome! I stayed out longer than the kids perfecting my skills. This is where I find Anna a lot. Creating behind her easel in her room.We took a quick jaunt up to Provo for my newest nephew’s blessing. The boys made up their own boggle rules. We got to hang out with these guys for a minute and see Adam’s apartment and where he works. It made me nostalgic for college.
Enjoying the end of summer.
