I woke up this morning to this…
at the end of February in Southern Utah. It was a surprise. My plans of digging the weeds out of my garden and getting it ready for planting were quickly replaced with this…
My kids were so excited to go out and play in it. So I maturely squashed my initial reaction of “That sounds like hell.” and smiled an joined them. So glad I did. And so glad it only happens once a year. The other day I had noticed that our trees had started to bloom… and now there is snow on all the tiny pink flowers. Still so beautiful.
We lasted about a half hour outside and…. Max only cried once because he was cold. We are making progress. (Josh may or may not have accidentally hit him in the face with a snowball – so it was a legit cry).
He ended up on the couch like this.
When I picked Josh up from early morning orchestra he was outside in the midst of a snowball fight. He got in the car laughing…. “The snow doesn’t bother me now Mom. I don’t even have gloves on and I’m not cold!” After our time outside.. He had put plastic bags on his shoes and all you could see was his eyes as he headed out to school.
We are wussy it’s true. Now I get to go cuddle up with my youngest two in a warm bed and read some books… and maybe get at least one of them to fall asleep. Joy
