I had the brilliant idea when Josh was 1 to make a scrap book for my Mom and Mom-in-law of his favorite things. I was totally enamored by his every move so I was sure that they were too. He was the first child so for his 1 year favorite things he got about 10 scrap book pages…. The next year he and Anna each got 5. Then the next year…. I decided to just interview them and make 1 page for each kid, making it less of an ordeal. So every year around Mother’s Day. I interview them with more or less the same questions. If I know a specific question will prompt a memorable response I throw in an extra question or two. I now make the pages in photoshop (I was a little behind 8 years ago) and print out three copies. 1 for me and 1 for each of my moms. It’s been a treasure at least for me.
The only question is what’s the cut off? Do I have to stop when they are 18, or can I keep calling them until I’m senile, just for my own documentation purposes?
