A quick update on how we are doing on our goals for documentation purposes…Our goals are listed in this post.
Josh:
Physical: He has gone swimming exactly 1 time with Dad. But he’s young he might still be able to paddle into a wave this summer. If he does he’ll still understand the power of goals right?
Mental: He has got multiplication and division pretty much down. Justin makes him practice whenever he says he’s bored.
Spiritual: He told me he’s in Alma in the Book of Mormon, so even if he doesn’t read every night I think he’s doing OK in this one. I will have to double check though
Anna:
Physical: She can now go into a back bend from a standing position so she’s getting closer
Mental: We have slacked off in reading practice… need to pick that one back up. The end of the year burn out is setting in for us all.
Spiritual: She helps me constantly, especially when I’m sad. Still haven’t done the Book of Mormon one yet… dang it. We have read Heidi and Rump together though….this is a good reminder.
Me: Physical I am making definite progress in my eating healthier goal. Lots more veggies, lots fewer carbs, and I rarely make cookies anymore – which I hope makes them extra special when I do… like today.
Mental: Check.
Spiritual: Got through it once. I got distracted by conference talks so I haven’t gotten through it the second time.
Family:
Be Prepared: We are absolutely terrible at checking off jobs, but the kids are getting much better at doing them. Max has made the most progress for sure. Dinner dishes though… they have done them probably a total of 10 times. Time to recommit.
Sayulitas: We are 1/3 of the way to our goal. And we keep plugging away. Our kids ask to count the money in the jar all the time. I hope by making travel a family goal they will appreciate it and love it as much as I do.
And… Josh was sad that I didn’t include this picture in this post. I was a little worried someone would call Child Services on us. But he is quite proud of his welts from shirtless dodge ball. Boys are weird…
